Silky Chocolate Ganache & Palmiers

This could be one of the easiest desserts out there. Thank you Jamie Oliver for this recipe! I first made this dessert for a dinner party for our dear friends Sarah and Jon when living up in Painted Cave. The great thing about this recipe is that you can make it on top of another dish, literally! How's that for efficiency?! Ps. All ingredients can be found at TJ's, so long as they keep selling palmiers.

Silky Chocolate Ganache
Serves 6

Ingredients
8oz dark chocolate
1 large pat of butter - or two pats is fine too :)
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 pinch of salt
12 palmiers (or other cookies, for dipping)

Step 1. Break up chocolate

Step 2. Melt and stir together chocolate pieces, cream, butter, and salt

Step 3. Pour into 6 cups and serve with palmiers

The best way to melt the ingredients together is to place a bowl, filled with all the ingredients, above a pot of boiling water. If you are making a pasta dish, you can cook your noodles and make ganache at the same time!

Apparently, ganache doubles as fingerpaint!
