It gave me so much joy to watch Campbell run over to the square-foot garden bed, excited to pick tomatoes and strawberries to snack on while playing outside all year long. Due to the mild fall and winter, we just picked our last tomato in January and our strawberry plants are still flowering!
For this year, I am tripling the number of strawberry plants (since we now have two hungry toddler boys), doubling the tomatoes, doubling the peas and favas, and experimenting with growing onions (more on that in my next post). I got our plants in the ground just in time for the rain!
