Asparagus and Gruyere Cheese Tart

Thanks to puff pastry in a box, this is a fantastically easy tart to make. It looks beautiful, tastes great, and is a cinch to make.

Place one sheet of thawed puff pastry on a baking sheet. Lightly score a .75 inch border around the edges of the pastry with a knife. Prick the inner rectangle with a fork every few inches. Sprinkle shredded gruyere cheese across the pastry shell, minus the border. Lay out spears of asparagus, side by side, alternating directions, atop the cheese, across the pastry. Brush the asparagus with olive oil, grind some salt over and bake for about 20 mins. Done!

Serve as a main accompanied by a salad or serve as an appetizer for a dinner party.
