Salvaging My Favorite Heels

I treat my heels terribly. I never replace the heel guard soon enough and I always scuff or scrape the back of wrapped heels. Truly, I shouldn't wear anything but leather wrapped heels but they can be hard to find for the price I'm willing to pay. In an effort to save these classic black heels I so lovingly destroyed, I ripped the heel wrap off, cleaned the glue, and gave the heel four good coats of some extra nail polish I had on hand. I am waiting for the new heel guards to arrive in the mail. This should give me a little more wear out of my favorite heels. If the polish holds up okay, I'll buy some black the next time I attempt this restoration effort.
